Grooming
Good grooming isn't just for show pets - it's for any owner that wants a clean, sweet smelling and healthy pet. Regular care of your pet's appearance can stop potential problems from turning into major headaches. That's because of professional groomers do more than simply bathe and brush your pet. They also check the coat for any problems (such as burrs, insects or sores) plus trim nails, clean foot pads, and clean ears.

In order to maintain the safety of all visitors to our hospital, grooming patients are required to be current on vaccinations. If All about PetCare is not your regular veterinarian, please bring proof of vaccinations to your first grooming appointment. If your pet requires its annual vaccines, please let us know and we'll be happy to provide them to your pet during its grooming visit.

Allow All about PetCare to take care of your pet's grooming needs. When you bring your pet to us, you can take advantage of medical experience that a simple grooming shop doesn't offer.

Grooming Hours

Grooming visits are by appointment only, please call for availability. Generally, dogs or cats requiring a new "do" are dropped off between 8 - 9 am and may be picked up in the afternoon. We have a groomer available Monday through Friday.

Benefits of Grooming

Regular grooming for your pet leads to a happier and healthier pet. Not only will a well-groomed pet be a more appealing companion, but professional grooming goes hand in hand with maintaining your pet's health. In lathering, brushing and trimming your pet, our Groomer has the opportunity to examine your pet from head to tail. Our groomers routinely discover suspect conditions/problems that may require veterinary care.
  • Groomers identify suspect conditions by smell (foul odors sometimes caused by potential infections), and feel. Groomers may encounter lumps, bites, cuts, swelling, sores, etc.

  • Regular grooming also ensures that nails are maintained at their proper length. If nails are not trimmed regularly, they tend to overgrow and may interfere with a dog walking properly on all four paws. In fact, overgrown toenails can grow into the paw's bed and cause severe irritation.

  • Frequent grooming also ensures that pet's ears are examined routinely as proper ear cleaning is very important. Catching ear infections early is very beneficial.

  • Flea/tick control is another added benefit of regular grooming. Many owners may not realize their pets are infested with fleas or other parasites.
On the surface, routine grooming may seem as if it is only concerned with the aesthetic image of the pet, but professional groomers are another aspect of care that helps pet owners to maintain healthier/happier pets.
